Challenge and Change Your Mindset by Redesigning Your Brain with Q&A | Todd Sampson, Former Chairman & CEO, Leo Burnett
The premise of Todd's award-winning Discovery Science series Redesign My Brain was simple. For over 70 years, science has told us that our brains are fixed. You are born with the brain you have, which develops rapidly until the age of seven, and then it starts a steady decline from age 30 until you die and there was nothing you could do about it.
But science has now proven that to be false. In fact, modern science has shown that our brain is plastic and that we all have the ability to improve it at any age and at any time. This presentation will show you how to boost your brain power. Todd will not only take you behind the scenes of this extraordinary scientific journey, he will also provide you with the practical tools, strategies and techniques to improve your brain.
We are all capable of more than we realise, and modern science is showing us how.
Lightning Session
Organizations are Rewiring & Reinventing Their Futures | Davinia Simon, Head of Growth, Stax
While many organizations invest in the cloud to run more efficient, and agile businesses, only a few are ambitious enough to achieve reinvention. AWS research indicates most business leaders see cloud-based digital transformation as important to business growth.
But about two-thirds also say they struggle with getting started, citing lack of expertise, change resistant culture, and complexity as roadblocks. At Stax, we help business leaders around the world use our cloud management platform to accelerate and simplify their digital transformation journeys; fast tracking reinvention and innovation.
In this session, we will share the keys to unlocking the potential of the Cloud with Stax. Sharing examples of organizations that have unleashed a revised mindset for your teams where experimentation, innovation and growth can flourish.

Overcoming Migration Anti-Patterns | Ken Thompson, Technical Product Specialist, Stax & James Windsor, Director of Sales, Consegna
Building your business in the cloud can yield many benefits that accelerate growth and generate competitive edge, yet many organisations embark on the journey without realising that they are running into anti-migration patterns, leading to project delays, cost blowout, and cloud deprecation.
Hear from Ken Thompson, former SaaS Architect Leader at Microsoft, and James Windsor, Director of Sales, ANZ at Consegna as they dive into the common patterns experienced by customers during cloud migration projects and how to navigate common hurdles such as executive and team sponsorship, the “right” pace, and process bias.
Fireside Chat
Building High Performance Teams: The Key Ingredients for Growth | Jason Blackman, CIO, Carsales
In a similar vein to financial debt, technical debt is not necessarily bad for an organisation. However, it does need to be identified and paid down. But how can you tell you’re experiencing technical debt?
Join Jason Blackman and Davinia Simon for a Q&A session where they will answer questions on how to identify and ensure the crippling effects of technical debt do not threaten innovation and digital transformation.
Power Talk
Enabling Everyone to Innovate | Rob Findlay, Head of Digital Innovation, AWS
Amazon’s approach to innovation has remained consistent since the company first launched – start with the customer, and work backwards. In this session, you’ll be introduced to their peculiar culture and how they innovate at Amazon through four distinct yet interdependent elements: Culture, Mechanisms, Architecture, and Organization.
In this session, you'll have the chance to dive deeper on each topic, and learn more about practical applications including Leadership Principles, Working Backwards, Two-Pizza Teams, the PRFAQ doc, and why it’s always still Day 1 at Amazon and AWS.
