Stax Cost & Compliance provides you with full access to cost and compliance data across your organization. In some circumstances, you may wish to restrict the data a particular user or group of users can view.

This can be useful for limiting system owners to see only their systems, or developers to see only their cost center.

You can choose multiple segments for a user to be restricted to, as long as those segments are within the same View. For example, a user can be restricted to multiple projects within your Project view, but can't be restricted to one Project and one Cost Center, if those are different Views in Stax.

Raise a support case with the list of users' email addresses and the segments that you'd like to lock them down to.

If they're current Stax users, the next time they log in to Stax, their access will be restricted to the segments specified.

If they're new to Stax, they'll get a sign up key, prompting them to login to Stax for the first time. Once they're in, their access will be restricted to the segments specified.

If You Access Stax Using SSO

Create a group or role within your identity provider and add users to it that you'd like to be restricted to specific segments (e.g. Project Firebird).

Raise a support case with the details of that role or group and which segments to restrict those users to, and we'll set Stax up to automatically restrict users in that role/group to the segments specified.
