This guidance assumes you're subscribed to only the Stax Cost & Compliance module. If your AWS accounts are Stax-managed, Stax takes care of this for you.
  1. Log into the AWS console, click on your user or account name at top-right, and select My Billing Dashboard from the dropdown.
  2. Click Consolidated Billing.
Consolidated Billing
  1. Click the Go to your organization button.
If you don’t have an Organization set up in AWS, you’ll need to create one.

Go to your organization
  1. On the AWS Organizations page, you’ll see a list of your organization’s accounts. Find the account with the star — this is the master account, or root account.

If the account you’re linking to Stax isn’t the one with the star, then it’s part of a consolidated bill, so you don’t need to enter the billing bucket name into Stax.
