The role of an Account Development Representative is primarily to develop sales qualified opportunities (SQOs) by researching and identifying potential accounts, while performing as a consultant to solicit new accounts, build rapport and support the pre-sales process by partnering with internal technical and sales-focused stakeholders.
 
The Account Development Representative will source new sales opportunities via marketing qualified leads, outbound cold calls, wed data, emails and partnering with internal channels to convert SQO. The SQO will then be led by the STAX enterprise team whilst including the ADR on the opportunity and ultimately commission for closed deals

Your day-to-day responsibilities includes:

  • Generate sales qualified opportunities
  • Research potential customers to understand their business and help present business value
  • Maintain salesforce records & activity
  • Generate revenue by soliciting and obtaining new client accounts, understanding and interpreting technical requirements, as well as providing technical information
  • Assess competitors by analysing and summarizing competitor information and trends and identifying sales opportunities
  • Maintaining a constantly expanding database of prospects within assigned region or target client group
  • Develop accounts by reviewing existing client engagements and upselling related and new products and services where possible
  • Maintain and improve product knowledge regularly and actively participate in opportunities for technical development
  • Act as first point of contact for all new STAX clients; recognizing, identifying and settling STAX and client matters as they arise within client group
  • Advising relevant internal stakeholders of customer trends and specialized issues
  • Ensuring assigned sales plans and programs of STAX are implemented as per company standards and policy
  • To be successful in this role:

  • 2+ years of B2B experience or worked in a similar role
  • Bachelor of Commerce or related technical degree
  • 1 to 5 years of ADR style experience with proven sales performance
  • Strong sales acumen and career aspirations
  • Experience working with Salesforce or similar CRM
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Strong listening and presentation skills
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
  • Establishes good relationships with customers and employees; builds effective external networks
  • Projects credibility; gains clear agreement and commitment from others by persuading, convincing and negotiating
  • Adapts to changing circumstances, dealing with ambiguity and adapting self to different people or situations; ability to 'think on your feet'
