Stax is seeking a Senior Engineer to join our experienced Cost and Compliance engineering team in for a 6 month contract.
The short-term Senior Engineer contract will fill a key role on our team over the next six months and is responsible for technical alignment, engineering quality, and delivering customer value. We are looking for an engineer with data application experience that has an ability to work in a fast-moving environment to help face into our growth.

We are building data pipelines that deal with hundreds of millions of rows and terabytes of data to deliver value to our customers. A successful candidate will bring their software and DevOps skills and expertise to continue to deliver value while setting us up for growth in the future. They will be joining an established cross-functional development team that's agile, fun, and driven to build high quality product. This is a great opportunity for someone to tackle complex data problems and evolve our AWS systems to meet the new demands of our customers.

As part of the team, you would be:

  • Helping manage and evolve our AWS infrastructure
  • Implementing GraphQL and REST API endpoints for frontend and internal applications
  • Designing and improving existing data pipelines for AWS billing and resource data
  • Providing product designers with technical feedback and working with them on solutions
  • Assisting customer success with technical questions
  • Committing code to help us deliver on team objectives.
  • Taking part in a rotation responding to incidents and outages
  • We're looking for someone who:

  • Has 5+ years experience in developing applications to the highest standard.
  • Has a bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent work experience.
  • Has prior experience working with AWS technologies
  • Has a strong software development pedigree to ensure we are shipping high quality software.
